About Us

Our Mission

Giant’s Dog House is a non-profit, volunteer run organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitate, and find new homes for abandoned, and surrendered dogs. Our goal is to provide a happy and safe long term home for dogs in need. We will provide all the things a dog needs including food and water, shelter and play and love. We will endeavor to accept as many dogs as we can properly care for. These dogs will be able to stay with us until they are adopted. If they are not adopted then we will keep them indefinitely without discrimination based on age, breed or health status.

About Us

We provide a happy and safe long term home to dogs in need.

Our organization was founded in 2019. Our facility is located in the west end of Kingston, Ontario, on 41 acres of rural land for our dogs to play on and explore. Our building is brand new and exceeds 4000 square feet. We rely on our dedicated staff and trained volunteers to provide 24-hour care for our dogs.

Origin Story

Giant, who belonged to Founder and President Chris Kozanitis, was the inspiration for the name of the canine rescue. He was a stunning chihuahua with black and brown coloring. He gave his family his absolute love and devotion. He had a lot of character and swagger. Giant passed away in 2017 and continues to be dearly missed.

Our facility is undergoing construction, the  physical opening date will be announced soon.
